Our 4-year-old preschool class is designed to prepare children for kindergarten while fostering a love of learning. Through engaging, play-based activities, we focus on developing essential skills such as early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving.
Children explore a wide range of topics, including science, art, music, and physical education, encouraging creativity and curiosity. Social-emotional development is a key focus, as children learn to work collaboratively, build friendships, and express their feelings in healthy ways.
Our nurturing environment and experienced teachers ensure that every child feels confident, valued, and ready to take the next step in their educational journey.
We offer 3-day and 5-day options for our 4-year-old class. Each 4-year-old class will maintain a 8:1 ratio or less (max 16 children with 2 teachers). Children must be 4 by December 1st.
Our 3-year-old preschool class provides a warm and supportive environment where young learners can explore, play, and grow. This program focuses on building foundational skills such as communication, sharing, and following simple routines.
Through hands-on activities, children are introduced to early concepts in literacy, math, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way. Creative expression is encouraged through art, music, and imaginative play, while outdoor activities promote physical development and coordination.
With nurturing guidance from our experienced teachers, children gain confidence, develop independence, and build friendships, setting the stage for a lifelong love of learning.
We offer 2-day and 3-day options for our 3-year-old class. The 3-year-old class will maintain a 7:1 ratio or less (max 14 children with 2 teachers). Children must be 3 by December 1st.
Enhanced Learning for 3 and 4 year olds
PE with Coach Dale
Dale Broomhead, a retired PE teacher, church member, and friend of the preschool comes to lead a Physical Education class every other week. The kids work on developing their gross motor skills like running, skipping, balancing, throwing, kick and so much more. All while having fun!
Music with Ms Tori
Ms Tori, a former instructor at Spendwood Dance, leads the students in a music and movement class bi-weekly. We sing and dance while learning about keeping the beat and different musical genres. We find ourselves singing our music class songs all day long.
Art with Ms Michelle
Ms Michelle, an avid crafter, leads a bi-weekly art class to student how lines, shapes and colors combine to create beautiful works of art. We create art pieces together as a group and individually.
Chapel Chat
Once a month students meet with the pastors of Calvary United Methodist Church for discussions about spirituality and church traditions. We have discussed baptism and advent. The kids love to study the stained glass windows, and hear the organ play.
Our 2-year-old preschool class is a gentle introduction to structured learning, tailored to the unique needs of toddlers. In a safe and nurturing environment, children explore the world around them through sensory play, music, art, and movement.
The program focuses on developing early social skills like sharing, taking turns, and building trust with peers and teachers. Simple routines and engaging activities help promote language development, fine motor skills, and a sense of independence.
With patient guidance from our caring teachers, children begin to build confidence and discover the joy of learning through play and exploration.
Each session is 90 minutes long, and offered on Mondays and/or Fridays. The 2-year-old class will maintain a 5:1 ratio or less (max 10 children with 2 teachers). Children must be 2 by September 1st. Children who turn 2 between September 1st and December 1st may enroll once they turn 2 and after a meeting with our staff to ensure the program aligns with their developmental readiness and individual needs.
Join us for a half-day preschool summer camp filled with fun, creativity, and exploration! Designed for children ages 3-6, our program offers a mix of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences. Each day is carefully planned to spark curiosity, nurture social skills, and provide a joyful environment where young minds can grow.
